Examination Boards

The School of Biological Sciences operates joint Examination Boards for years 1 and 2, two sub Boards of Examination for year 3 and individual Examination Boards for Honours Courses.

The first year board has responsibility for four courses (Origin and Diversity of Life 1, Quantification in the Life Sciences 1, Molecules, Genes and Cells 1 and Environmental and Community Biology 1). The second year board has responsibility for seven courses (Animal Biology 2, Biometrics 2, Evolution in Action 2, Genes and Gene Action 2, Microorganisms, Cells and Immunity 2, Plants, Fungi and Symbiosis 2, The Dynamic Cell 2). For year 3 there is a Junior Honours Exam and Progression Board, comprising of two sub-boards.
