Teaching and studying
Information about the courses we run and applying for studentships.
Molecular Plant Sciences is internationally recognised for its plant science research in subjects ranging from biotechnology, the regulation of growth and development, disease resistance, starch and cell wall metabolism to plant evolution. We also have strong research and teaching links with taxonomists and evolutionary biologists at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. This enthusiasm and diversity in plant science research is reflected in our teaching programmes, which include a 4-year Honours BSc degree program in Plant Science and a taught MSc program in Biodiversity and Taxonomy of Plants run jointly with the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.
