A testimonial and video case study from our Bayes Partner, Nesta.
How did you first learn about the Bayes Centre?
Our new Nesta in Scotland team has spent the last few months finding our feet in our new roles, and during this period, The Data Lab very kindly hosted us in the Bayes Centre.
What made you choose to base yourself in Bayes?
We have very much enjoyed working in the Bayes Centre and when it came to looking for our own office space, we knew we wanted to join the Bayes community. Being an innovation foundation, it's fantastic to be based in one of Scotland's data-driven innovation hubs.
What are the benefits of being based in Bayes?
As well as being part of a community of innovators that stretch across different data disciplines, the Bayes Centre facilities, break out spaces and cafe offers a wonderful work environment, where there's space to host our colleagues from London, as well as external guests. Having access to hire the atrium and lecture theater for events is also a huge benefit.
What is the most interesting thing about working in the Bayes Centre?
Seeing the Robotics lab as you enter the building never gets old! Working in the Bayes Centre means being part of a wider data ecosystem and it's exciting to be part of a community that are helping to shape Scotland's future.
What would you tell others who might be considering Bayes as a base?
The Bayes team are helpful, supportive and understand the importance of collaboration and knowledge sharing - and this is actively encouraged. The Bayes is a great place for connecting, networking, and finding out about what's going on within the sector.
