Bayes provides a membership scheme that allows external organisations to be part of a wider community of students, research-active academic staff and other businesses operating in a data-centric field.
Our mission is to make Edinburgh the data capital of Europe which is why we are keen to collaborate with businesses who are using disruptive data technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, NLP, Blockchain, Quantum, Robotics and Autonomous Systems (amongst others!) to deliver impact through innovation.
We can offer collaborative working space to help your business benefit from colocation with students, research-active academic staff and other businesses operating in these fields. Our membership option not only offers flexibility for growing businesses to benefit from access to talent and facilities, but also provides the opportunity for your business to grow through:
Access to Communities of Interest;
Opportunities for Student placements within your business, and sponsorship of studentships;
A Scale Up Accelerator (subject to application) which provides a programme of tech and business entrepreneurship training as well as offering access to investor networks – find out more;
Engage Invest Exploit (subject to application) – which continues to grow every year – offering tech businesses the opportunity to pitch to a host of investors keen to be part of tech innovation. It is already the largest tech showcase event in the UK outside of London;
Collaborative projects with academics ensuring responsible adoption of emerging tech and providing the opportunity for all parties to learn by application in new contexts;
Access to data services enabled through the new world class data infrastructure.
The cost of membership is £180pcm (inclusive of VAT) for hot desking including WIFI, access to meeting rooms, facilities such as kitchens and cycle storage, inclusion on the Bayes website, mailing lists and social media feeds (for relevant events/posts you would like to share with the distribution list). Options for dedicated desks and office space are also available for longer-term partnerships (prices vary).
