Join the Alan Turing Institute in-person in Newcastle at the award-winning Catalyst Building theatre, or virtually from the comfort of your own home, for a series of five Data Debates starting in April and running throughout 2022. The Debates are aimed at the general public and engage with complex questions with real-world relevance, including decision-making, artificial intelligence, the workforce of the future, health, data, and fairness.

Agenda

From optimising Formula 1 car performance, to understanding scoring in football and basketball, to predicting outcomes of games, data and data science are everywhere in modern sports.

The final Northern Data Debate offers a tournament of ideas from across the field of the data science of sport. Come join the Alan Turing Institute for their final Northern Data Debate to see some points scored, winning ideas crowned, and sport data innovation championed.
