We are committed to connecting your organisation with the growing Bayes Centre community. Our  Communications and Marketing team is here to provide you with communications expertise, and marketing support.  Our Events team hosts and accommodates many routine and high-profile events and meetings for internal and external audiences. 

Communications and Marketing 

The Communications and Marketing Team are delighted to welcome you to the Bayes Centre. Our aims are to support and amplify your messages and goals and so if we can be of any assistance then please reach out to us at bayes-communications@ed.ac.uk and we will be happy to work with you. 

Website

Members and Partners have an entry in the Bayes Centre community pages and we ask you to provide some basic information for our site. 

  • A high quality logo (vector artwork if possible)

Welcome

We would like to publicly welcome you to the Bayes Centre and in order to do so we will look to create a news article for our website and accompanying social media posts. These will be posted on the Bayes Centre's Twitter and LinkedIn pages. In general companies prefer to write their own introduction and so we ask that you provide a story up to 500 words and with an accompanying photo. 

We generally suggest this story focus on who you are, where you have come from, what problem you seek to solve, your vision, challenges and goals and how others may be able to work with you, but you are free to write the news story as you prefer. 

Mailing lists

We need to add you to a number of mailing lists, to ensure that you receive important information and news from the Bayes Centre. Please ensure that the Bayes Centre's reception team have a note of all emails that should be added to these lists by emailing bayes.reception@ed.ac.uk.

Announcements and ongoing messaging

We are happy to share your major announcements or news. Please send the information to bayes-communications@ed.ac.uk and we can either make or share posts.  You can also tag us on LinkedIn and Twitter and we’ll share your posts.  We’re also happy to share your events, so please keep us informed and these can be posted on social media, promoted to our community and added to our website. 

Reception Area

We invite you to submit a slide for our electronic screens, to be displayed in the Bayes Centre atrium. This is a chance to either promote your company, or to talk about your current news. This can be changed on a monthly basis and a reminder will be sent when you are able to make the change. 

We require an image in the following format:

  • 16 by 9 dimensions.
  • PNG or PDF images  (1920 pixels X 1080 pixels)
  • We can only currently accept one slide per organisation, although this will be reviewed at a later date.

Digital Touchscreen

We'll take the data you provide to add you to our digital touchscreen in the reception area, which lets people find out more about you and your company. 

Events 

The Bayes Centre hosts and accommodates many routine and high-profile events and meetings for internal and external audiences. We would be delighted to welcome you to our future events or to support you in booking an event to take place within the Bayes Centre.

When collocated in Bayes you have access to book our main event space, G.03, which is our ground level seminar room which seats 50 people theatre style and has full AV facilities. Please note, charges may apply dependant on length of booking

Our Atrium outside G.03 can also be hired with a capacity 50 during opening hours (9am-5pm) or 80 after 5pm for evening events.

Bayes also has a number of meeting rooms with varying capacities. Further information is provided below and should you wish to book a meeting room please complete the Meeting Room request form or contact Bayes reception with any enquiries.
