Legal Tech Breakfast: The Future of Legal Services in the age of AI

This inaugural event will be held at Edinburgh’s centre for Data Science and Data-driven innovation, The Bayes Centre.


  • 8.30am - 8.50am: Registration & Industry Networking over coffee & pastries
  • 8.50am - 9am: Welcome & Opening remarks by Dr Michael Rovastos (Professor of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Edinburgh)
  • 9-9.30am Keynote talk “What will the impact on the Justice system be when more services are provided by platforms and Legal Tech rather than the regulated profession?” Professor Schafer
  • Panel discussion: “Legal technologists: birth of a new profession or temporal role”. Panel will be facilitated by Frances Sim of Restitution
  • Panel: Callum Murray, Amiqus; Sam Moore of Burness Paull; Sorcha Lorimer, Trace;  Alan Stuart, Stuart & Co.
  • Networking & Discussion 10am-10.30am
