Problem
The global population is ageing rapidly, and countries are not equipped to handle the impending burden on health systems. For example, one in three people over 65 will fall this year, costing the NHS £4.4 bn and Medicare (US) over $50 bn annually. Additionally, falls frequently accelerate a loss of independence. Individuals need better tools to help them self-manage their personal health and maintain their independence as they age.
Solution
Smplicare’s easy-to-use mobile application has been co-designed with older adults and their families to empower them with the insights and interventions they need to live safe, healthy, happy lives at home for longer. We pull insights from a range of market-leading wearables and combine them with data from digital health devices and clinically-based questionnaires. By applying AI and advanced analytics to the data, Smplicare can proactively alert our customers to their risk of a range of adverse health outcomes, beginning with the threat of falling.
