Funding, Eligibility and How to Apply
Further information on funding available and the application process
Through the Scottish Funding Council (SFC) Upskilling Fund and National Transition Training Fund, a number of fully-funded places are available at The University of Edinburgh on short, standalone courses from the Data Skills Workforce Development Training portfolio.
Funded places are available to those who meet Scottish Funding Council (SFC) fee waiver criteria. Note that course places are limited and priority will be given to those who meet the criteria for SFC-funded places. Full-time students are not eligible for funding.
You must meet at least one of the following criteria to be eligible for a funded place as per SFC requirements*:
- domiciled in Scotland for the last three years for reasons other than education
- domiciled in the rest of the UK and working for a Scottish employer (an employer which is based in, or has a significant presence in Scotland)
For National Transition Training Funding you must also:
- be over the age of 25
- be either at risk of redundancy or unemployed
*Funding eligibility criteria for the 21/22 session is still to be confirmed
Eligibility for funding will be assessed at the point of application for each course.
