Details of the Research, Knowledge Exchange & Impact and Ethics committees.

Research Committee

The College Research Committee supports research activity across the College. 

It brings together the Directors of Research in the College’s 11 schools, a number of College research advisors such as the Director of the Institute of Advanced Studies in the Humanities, and staff from the CAHSS Research Support Office whose role is to support research development in the College.

It is convened by the Dean of Research, Professor Christina Boswell, and is supported by the College Research Manager, Jacqueline McMahon.

Knowledge Exchange & Impact Committee

The Knowledge Exchange & Impact Commitee supports KE activity across the College.

The committee has representatives from all 11 Schools.

It is co-convened by Jamie Cross, Associate Dean (KE & Impact), CAHSS and Anne Sofie Laegran, Knowledge Exchange Manager, Research Support Office, CAHSS.

Research Ethics Committee

The College Research Ethics Committee supports research ethics and integrity review across the College.

The Committee has members from all 11 Schools and the Research Governance Co-ordinator. The Committee was established in 2004 to initially provide an audit role to ensure that Schools had research ethics policies or processes in place to deal with any ethical issues that may arise in research, in particular those involving human subjects.

Currently the Committee is convened by the Associate Dean (Research Ethics & Integrity), Dr Ailsa Niven.
