Dean of Special Projects

The Dean of Special Projects is responsible for coordinating activities in relation to the establishment and development of the Edinburgh Futures Institute (EFI).

The Dean of Special Projects is responsible for coordinating activities in relation to the establishment and development of the Edinburgh Futures Institute (EFI).

The Dean of Special projects is a part-time appointment, currently until 31st July 2019 .

The Dean sits on the EFI project board, which has oversight of the overall capital project; convenes the Studio team, which oversees the delivery of the vision set up in the business case for the EFI; and chairs the and the Engagement, Development, and Communication working group, which the activities in these fields.

The Dean liaises with Heads of Schools and other University offices involved in the development of the EFI, in collaboration with the Head of College and College Registrar.

The Dean leads in formulating plans concerning EFI research, teaching and engagement activities and coordinates activities to operationalise them, in consultation and collaboration with relevant Schools, University bodies, and offices.
