College Academic Misconduct Officer

The College Academic Misconduct Officer is responsible for leading the College response to accusations of all academic misconduct including plagiarism /collusion/cheating among the College's student population, both undergraduate and postgraduate.

The College Academic Misconduct Officer is a part-time appointment (0.2 FTE). Along with their counterparts in the other two Colleges, they work with colleagues in Old College to ensure uniformity of treatment of students and appropriate developments in University Policy to assist students to be guided in how to avoid plagiarism.

The College Academic Misconduct Officer works closely with the College Deans and Associate Deans to ensure policy is communicated clearly to Schools, working with School colleagues to feed views upwards to College staff or committees. The planning and development of College strategy and policy will be by the Head of Academic and Student Administration and the Deans; the Associate Deans will play a key role in implementing policy, their work being coordinated by the Head of Academic and Student Administration.
