June 2017 | Alumni Lecture & Reception in Berlin

Join Professor Charlie Jeffery, Senior Vice Principal, for an event focussing on the implications of Brexit for Higher Education on Wednesday 7th June from 6pm-8pm at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities (BBAW) .

As the UK government moves towards formally exiting the European Union, the challenges posed for higher education continue to be well documented.  As a proud member of the League of European Research Universities and with extensive student exchange and wider collaborations across the continent, the University of Edinburgh has, and always will be, strongly committed to Europe.

Professor Charlie Jeffery will consider the implications of Brexit for Higher Education within the UK and in the rest of Europe and how, in a rapidly changing political environment, we can respond to current challenges and remain fundamentally European and international in our outlook.

The talk will be followed by a drinks reception providing you with the opportunity to meet senior representatives from the University and to network with fellow alumni.
