Business ethics and sustainability

George Mackintosh
Chaired by George Mackintosh

In today’s world it is not always easy to create hard-and-fast definitions of good ethical and sustainable practices for individuals, governments and businesses. Our focus will be on discussing businesses who must balance making a competitive return for shareholders; treat employees fairly; and have wider responsibilities to the environment and the surrounding communities.

Come along to this event and meet those who are in the vanguard of these important developments in the business world and who have exciting ideas to share and to inspire.

The event will be chaired by alumnus George Mackintosh, Founder and CEO of Testplant who will lead the discussion and manage the Q&A session.  George is a serial entrepreneur who has raised venture money, built start-ups, made acquisitions, achieved successful exits and managed companies across the globe.  George encourages young entrepreneurs to punch above their weight in marketing, to be bold in selling and to think hard about hiring the right people to form effective teams. His advice is practical and candid, based on his own successes...and failures! The eventalso  features a diverse panel of alumni from across the business sphere.
