Alumni reception in Washington DC

The event will take place from 5:30pm to 7pm and will be hosted by Senior Vice Principal, Professor Charlie Jeffery.

Our guest speaker will be our Vice Principal International, Professor James Smith, who will talk about the University’s global aspirations.  It will be a great opportunity to find out about recent landmark achievements at the University as well as exciting future developments. Following the talks, there will be a drinks and canapés reception, providing you with the opportunity to socialise with alumni from the local area, to celebrate the University of Edinburgh and to meet friends, old and new.

The University has been welcoming students from the USA for hundreds of years and is the most popular destination for UK-bound American students. We currently have over 15,000 alumni residing in the USA. In 2014, the University intensified its long-standing links with North America by opening a liaison office in New York City.  The Office will deepen and widen engagement across the region.

The event is free but please register in advance. The dress code is business attire.
