Cinestar 8

The Cinestar 8 (or C8) multi-rotor UAS is a mid-heavy lift system with a maximum useful sensor payload of approximately 4 kg.

The C8 is a mid-heavy lift octocopter capable of payloads in the range 2-4 kg. We have recently refurbished one C8 to include the Pixhawk / Arducopter flight control system, to provide a common payload interface to match the T680 fleet above, and to accept a variable battery configuration to optimise flight times depending upon sensor payload. Additionally a second C8 has recently been handed over to the Facility, running a DJI A2 flight controller. We intend to use the C8s as multi-sensor platforms.
