EOS 5D Mk II (ECO-Dimona)

The ECO-Dimona's main camera system is an embedded EOS 5D Mk II, co-aligned with precision navigation systems and with custom-built integrated control and shutter logging systems.

The EOS 5D Mk II is our main survey camera on the ECO-Dimona where it is the core component of the 'CAM' system within the EF19B sensor package.

The camera is nadir pointing, provided with automated triggering and precision navigation synchronisation, and provides the ECO-Dimona with a high-quality photogrammetric capability.

Alternative lenses are available, the main lens in use being the Canon EF 50mm f/1.2L USM. This provides very fast shooting even under low light conditions and is very useful for avoiding motion blur during low level acquisitions.
