Background

The University’s Learning and Teaching Strategy includes a commitment to “Using the curriculum to promote inclusion, equality and diversity”. Over recent years, many of our Schools have undertaken a range of positive activities to open up our curricula to a broader range of different cultures, backgrounds and identities and to make it more relevant to an increasingly diverse student body and society.  In order to build on these initiatives, Senate Learning and Teaching Committee (LTC) established a task group in 2018-19 to explore how institutional action can assist in promoting inclusion, equality and diversity in the curriculum.
