Do a placement with us
Our Department hosts multiple placements throughout the year - find out how you can apply.
The University of Edinburgh is committed to providing students with work-based placements to apply their skills and knowledge, and improve their employability.
Students can apply to undertake a work-based placement within the department by:
- applying through their academic school or course
- directly apply to the department to undertake one of the current opportunities
- by submitting your own idea for a work-based placement.
We also offer research placements for students to examine specific areas of policy and practice as part of their degree.
We work in partnership with the Making the Most of Masters project which aims to provide opportunities for masters students to undertake work based projects. All of our work-based placement opportunities will be promoted through this project.
