Farmers' Market

We are delighted to share the news that the University of Edinburgh’s first Farmers’ Market is being piloted in mid-February. Drop by Potterrow on Thursday the 16th of February to grab some quality groceries and show your support for fresh, seasonal, home grown produce.

The event is organised in partnership with the team behind Stockbridge, Grassmarket and Leith markets, bringing you the best of passionate, independent small traders. No need to put off food shopping until the weekend - do it on campus!

Open to the public as well as staff and students; all are welcome. Free event, just turn up!

Here’s a taste of the stalls:

  • Aye Love Real Foods (scotch eggs, sausage rolls)
  • Blondilox (porridge, super foods snacks)
  • Casa Angelina (cakes, salads, flans etc.)
  • Casa Roble (paella to go)

The Farmers’ Market is a joint initiative between the Students’ Association and the Department for Social Responsibility & Sustainability. The pilot is part of the Sustain.ED events programme (Edinburgh’s first citywide green festival brought to you by the Students’ Association Sabbatical Officer team, in partnership with the University of Edinburgh and Edinburgh City Council). If successful, we are planning for the Farmers’ Market to become a regular feature on campus, so please come along to show your support!
