Climate-smart food

Join us for Our Changing World Lecture, "Climate-smart food" with Professor Dave Reay.

Doors open at 6.15pm.

Abstract

With up to 10 billion people to feed by 2050, climate change is the last thing we need. Global agriculture is a major source of greenhouse gas emissions and also faces some of the most severe impacts of climate change. How can we produce more 'climate-smart' food and achieve a climate and food security win-win?'. Dave Reay discusses the potential for low carbon food and its synergies with increased climate change resilience.

From dietary change and avoiding food waste to precision farming and agroforestry, the solutions are numerous but the challenge is immense.
