Biffa tour: How does recycling work?

The University of Edinburgh produces over 3000 tonnes of waste every year. This field trip to the Biffa material recovery facility, will give students an insight into the recycling process, the impact of waste at the University and other large organisations.

Students attending this trip will gain knowledge about the processes, and an understanding of the challenges faced.

This tour is run in partnership with the University of Edinburgh’s Waste and Recycling Office, and delivered in collaboration with the Case Studies in Sustainable Development undergraduate course.

Transport is provided.
