Gaelic Nature Events in Holyrood Park

The University has worked with Historic Environment Scotland to develop a series of events showcasing Gaelic language and culture and the nature in Holyrood Park.

A' fidreadh na Pàirce (Enjoying the Park) will include four events throughout 2018, two in Gaelic and two in English. These events will explore different aspects of the flora and fauna in the park as well as their place in Gaelic folklore, culture and language. Experience Gaelic in the park in different times and seasons. More detail on individual events is included below. These events are open to all, including staff, students and members of the public.

27 April 2018 - A' fidreadh na Pàirce: Èoin: Birds (English)

13 July 2018 - A' fidreadh na Pàirce: Lusan is Flùraichean: Plants & Flowers (Gaelic)

31 August 2018 - A' fidreadh na Pàirce: Ialtagan: Bats (Gaelic)

9 November 2018 - A' fidreadh na Pàirce: Craobhan: Trees (English)
