Edinburgh Gaelic Festival
The Edinburgh Gaelic Festival (Seachdain na Gàidlhig) is an annual festival celebrating the Gaelic community in Edinburgh, past and present.
The Edinburgh Gaelic Festival (Seachdain na Gàidhlig) was founded at the University of Edinburgh in 2014 and is an annual festival celebrating the Gaelic community in Edinburgh, past and present. The festival is run by a committee of volunteers currently chaired by the University's Gaelic Officer, with events run by organisations and individuals from across the city. In 2018, there were forty events over the course of ten days.
The 2019 festival will take place from 8-16 November.
We’re always looking for more volunteers to join the committee. The time commitment is low for most of the year, and we are an enthusiastic and creative bunch. Please get in touch if you are interested, or if you'd like to organise an event during the festival.
