Ongoing works to install the risers at the Roslin Building. Please note that works described previously, which effected fire egress within the Roslin Building, have been delayed by 1 week. The following info details the revised programme.

Works will continue in the excavated area to the rear of the Roslin Building next week. This may, on occasions, generate some noise and vibration. The following week, commencing on the Saturday 26th, the works will progress onto the installation of the pipework running vertically up the building. Unfortunately, with this phase of work, a degree noise disturbance is unavoidable. This has been coordinated with the BRF and works will be planned to avoid disturbance during the most sensitive periods. If you have any questions on this or if this is a cause for concern then please get in touch with me.

On the weekend of the 26th and 27th August, Vital will need to remove the temporary bridge at the fire escape to the rear (South East) of the Roslin Building. Consequently, as happened previously, the escape will be blocked off and alternative means of escape should be used in the event of an emergency. The plans attached detail the changes in egress routes. Fire egress will return to normal as of Monday (28th).

Designated contractor parking located within the top end of the “Red” car park.

I have included a map showing the available pedestrian access routes throughout the campus. I will update this as access changes.

As you can see above the Cottage Demolition project will commence on Monday. Access to the site will be on the Roslin Car Park access road, opposite the cottages. The access will be close to the roundabout and vehicles will need to reverse into site. Banksmen will assist with this manoeuvre. With this in mind please approach this area with caution. Most deliveries will be early in the morning.
