Gallery spaces

The gallery comprises three distinct exhibition spaces.

Gallery 1

White Gallery
Rosemarie Trockel exhibition, 2011.

Gallery 1 has a changing programme of exhibitions, presenting the work of contemporary Scottish and International artists through solo, retrospective, and thematic exhibitions.

 

 

Gallery 2

Georgian Gallery
Objects of Education exhibition, 2011.

Gallery 2 has an impressive Georgian interior, originally designed by William Playfair as a natural history museum. This recently refurbished room now hosts vibrant historic, experimental and academic exhibitions. The upper level of the gallery displays a selection from The University Torrie Collection; a bequest to the University of predominantly seventeenth century Dutch paintings and bronzes.

 

 

 

 

 

Gallery 3

Gallery 3 Is located on the 3rd floor of the Gallery and constitutes an iconic round room plus 2 adjacent spaces. It is the home and epicentre of the Gallery's TRG3 programme, dedicated to supporting early career artists, residencies and experimental projects.
