What can I study at Edinburgh?

There is a huge range of courses within the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and the College of Science and Engineering. However please note that courses in Art, Design, Landscape architecture and Architecture are only available to students coming under an agreement where these subjects are specified.

Some exchange agreements are subject specific. In this case, you would be expected to take the majority of your courses in this subject area.

Check with your study abroad advisor at your university for advice.

English language requirements

All students must meet the University minimum:

IELTS: Overall 6.5 with 5.5 in each component TOEFL: 92 or above with minimum 23 in reading, listening, speaking and writing

With these scores students will be able to apply for 1st and 2nd year courses. If students are wanting to apply for honours level (3rd year) courses then they will need to meet a higher English level of IELTS 6.5 in each component. (TOEFL is still 92 (minimum 23 in each section)
