Course credits help you keep track of your achievements, and are listed on your Academic Transcript.

The majority of courses are worth 20 credits but there are full year courses worth 40 credits and others worth 10 credits.
The number of courses you take can therefore vary but most students will find that they take three courses per semester.
For European students: 120 Edinburgh credits are equal to 60 ECTS credits.
On completion of your time at Edinburgh you will receive a copy of your academic transcript.
This will list your courses and the results that you have achieved. We will also send a copy of your transcript to your home university.
