Pleasance Sports Centre

Situated just a short walk from George Square and Pollock Halls, we have one of the biggest and best-equipped gyms in Scotland.

You'll also find more than 60 exercise classes, workshops, gym support and personal fitness advice.

Student memberships are available from around £1 per week, which includes unlimited access to the gyms, our 25-meter six-lane pool at St Leonard's Land and free entry to over 50 fitness classes.

Sports injury clinic

Our team in the internationally renowned Fitness Assessment and Sports Injuries Centre (FASIC), located in the Pleasance Sports Centre, has a proven record of excellence in sports injury care and prevention.

The team works with all levels of sport, from recreational to Olympic-standard.

The clinic provides physiotherapy, podiatry, medical consultancy and preventative sports medicine services.

Firbush outdoor centre

Situated in a magnificent location on Loch Tay in the southern Highlands, the University's residential centre for outdoor activities offers you sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and gorge walking in the summer, and cross-country skiing and mountaineering in the winter.

Edinburgh University Sports Union

EUSU is the student-run body that organises sport at the University.

We enter more teams than any other university into the British Universities Sports Association (BUSA) leagues, consistently ranking among the top five universities in the UK.

BUSA involves over 150 universities and colleges, and provides opportunities to compete with the very best at a national level.

If you prefer a more relaxed approach to your sport, getting together with friends can be one of the best ways to try a new activity.

With a host of "just-for-fun" intra-mural activities to choose from, we have something for everyone.
