The Students' Association
The Edinburgh University Students' Association (EUSA) offers a wide range of entertainment and support for students.
Run by students, for students, EUSA operates the union bars and shops, and supports over 220 student societies.
Student unions and venues
Teviot Row House, is the oldest purpose-built student union in the world with five bars over seven floors.
Potterrow, the city's biggest student nightclub, has state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems, and one of the biggest bottle bars in Edinburgh.
A short walk from George Square, Pleasance hosts regular comedy nights for students throughout the semester. It's also a major venue for the annual Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August.
The King's Buildings campus also has its own union.

With so much going on, it might seem hard to keep track of every event, but we have several ways for you to keep your diary in order.
The University's weekly newspaper, Student, provides listings and reviews of local events.
Hype, also published by the Students' Association, offers previews and reviews on a fortnightly basis.
Non-university publications, The Skinny and The List, cover entertainment and related goings-on in Edinburgh. These can be found at locations city-wide or online.
Societies
Our societies provide a place for you to meet like-minded people, indulge a hobby, network or simply socialise.
From poker to politics, science fiction to Swahili, we have societies to cater to all interests. You're sure to find one that suits you from the 220 currently recognised.
