We have received A Level results and have made decisions for candidates holding Conditional Firm or Conditional Insurance offers.
You can check the status of your application via UCAS Track.
Don't worry if your application status has not yet been updated. Occasionally it takes slightly longer for us to receive some exam results. If this is the case we will email you and advise that you will receive your decision soon and explain anything you need to do.
Get excited! You're attending one of the world's top universities.
Make sure you log in to your account on the MyEd website for information about what you should do next.
You should also check out our comprehensive guide to getting started as a new student.
If you do not meet the terms of your conditional offer, your application will still receive careful consideration. You can check the status of your application via UCAS Track.
If you have missed the conditions of your offer, but are appealing your A Level grades, please read the University policy regarding the provision of results at Confirmation to find out about how this may affect your place at Edinburgh.
If you feel that any special circumstances, such as illness, have affected your exam performance, we encourage you to follow the special circumstances procedures of the relevant exam board. Your school or college will be able to advise you about this.
If you need to speak to us about your offer, please call the relevant college admissions office directly.
On Thursday 17 August 2017, we will be open to take calls between 8 am and 5 pm.
As the telephones are likely to be very busy during this period, your patience is greatly appreciated. Please remember that, if you met the terms of your conditional offer, your place will be confirmed automatically and you do not need to contact the University to advise us of your grades.
Each of the University’s three colleges conducts its own admissions.
To find out which college your degree programme is part of, you can check the email correspondence from the admissions office dealing with your application. You can also check our degree finder for your chosen programme.
Please note that all Clearing vacancies have now been filled for 2017 entry.
We may have a very limited number of places available in Adjustment.
If you are planning to apply to us for 2018, and have a pre-application admissions enquiry please contact Student Recruitment & Admissions for advice.
