Short Courses

Languages

The Languages for All programme offers flexible opportunities to learn a new language or improve your skills in speaking, reading and writing.

Our class times gives you the option of learning in the evening or in the daytime, and typically run for 10 to 11 consecutive weeks per level.

The emphasis of our courses is on speaking and listening. The lessons focus on language that is required for communicating in real situations. Most of our teachers aim to conduct classes, from the start, largely or exclusively in the target language.

The lessons will include whole class activities and pair or small group work, role-play, watching videos and listening to CDs. Grammar is introduced in context. Extensive written exercises and reading texts are normally only set as homework.

In order to fully benefit from the course and to achieve the learning outcomes, you will need to devote 1-2 hours outwith classes to revision and homework.

Our courses are very popular and fill up quickly.  If your chosen course is indicated as full, please contact us to  enquire about being placed on a waiting list.
