Most of our online events are hosted in Collaborate, although a few may use other web facilities (such as Chat Live). For other platforms than Collaborate, please contact the session host if you have any questions on how to use the system.
Collaborate is accessible through your Internet browser, but it is important to check that your computer is compatible with the service well in advance of the event you plan on attending.

Blackboard Collaborate is a live, virtual meeting environment. It allows text chat, video/audio chat, as well as presentations. Blackboard Collaborate is an internet browser-based tool, which does not require any application download.
It is important to check your computer set up (OS and Java) several days in advance of the session, to give yourself time to ask for assistance if required.
Within the Blackboard Collaborate set up page, click on the v12 Configuration Room link in Step 2 (Configuring your system) to enter the Blackboard Configuration Room for the version 12 Collaborate software used by the University.
