Tuition fee payment

We accept tuition fee payments directly, in full or by instalment.

finance office

Tuition fees and related charges are due in full on or before the final matriculation date at the start of the academic session and each new session thereafter.

The Income Section of the Finance Department is responsible for securing payment of the fees and charges promptly and in full, and for initiating recovery action if this fails.

Detailed information on paying your tuition fees is available from our Finance department.

Communications

All invoices, credit notes, statements, instalment plans, reminders and general finance correspondence are sent to your University student email account.

It is the student’s responsibility that this email account is accessed and managed on a regular basis and that students ensure all communications are received and acted on.

Payment options

Different options for paying tuition fees are available, based on whether students are self-funded or sponsored.

Self-financing students (including partly self-funded)

Tuition fees must be paid in full at registration or within 30 days of the invoice date (whichever comes first).

The University can arrange, in most cases, that liability for tuition fees may be settled by payment in three instalments.

Students with financial support or sponsor funding

Many students will have their tuition fees paid by a sponsor or funded by government financial support.

The provider of this support/funding will be invoiced for the amount of tuition fees they have agreed (in writing) which must be also be paid within 30 days of the invoice date.

Ultimately the payment of all fees and charges is the student’s responsibility and in the event that the funding provider fails to pay then the student will be held personally liable for payment.

Further information

Full details of payment options are available from our Finance department.

International students

Specific advice and guidance for international students is provided by the Finance Department and the International Office.

We recommend payment of at least 50 per cent of the total fees and costs in advance to help obtain a UK visa.

The balance of tuition fees must then be paid in full or by instalment.

Payment methods

A number of payment methods are available depending upon your payment option.

Collecting fees / non-payment and late payment of fees

We recommend very strongly that you give early consideration to the payment of your fees.

You should be aware of the University policy on student fee collection and information on non-payment and arrears.

Further details are available from our Finance department.
