The International Office will be running a welcome service during our receiving weekend, to help you to find your way to your accommodation.
The Welcome Team will be based at Edinburgh Airport outside UK arrivals.
You can easily identify them by their red University of Edinburgh clothing.
We strongly encourage you to try and arrive during these dates.
If you would like to arrange to be met at the airport and taken to your accommodation, you can use the shared travel service offered by Edinburgh Direct.
Cost: £10 per passenger.
This service is for students, parents, friends and staff, to and from Edinburgh Airport.
This service is available at any time during 9 January 2010.
Those arriving outwith this date, or at different Scottish Airports, can also be offered transfers. Please email your requirements and they will be happy to supply you with a quotation.
Booking in advance is highly recommended.
You can book the transfer online.
The Airlink Frequent Express Shuttle Service is a bus that runs from Edinbrugh airport to Waverly Bridge in the centre of the city.
Buses run at regular intervals, and journeys last 25 minutes.
Current cost: £3.50 (single)
Taxis are expensive and will cost up to £20, so try to share the journey with a fellow student if possible.
The Welcome Team can try to help you find other students who might want to share a journey.
