Introduction

The University of Edinburgh is happy to receive applications from Swedish students, and has a long tradition of welcoming Swedes to the University and the city.

Student Recruitment & Admissions staff visit Sweden several times a year to participate in Higher Education Conventions, give presentations and meet with students in a number of schools.

Student numbers

There are currently almost 100 Swedish students studying at the University of Edinburgh. They are mostly undergraduate students studying a wide range of degree programmes.

Student support

Swedish students benefit from financial support (study aid - studiemedel) provided by the Swedish governmental agency CSN (the Swedish National Board of Student Aid). Currently EU undergraduates are eligible to have their tuition fees paid by the Students Awards Agency for Scotland on behalf of the Scottish Government.
