Introduction
The International Office representative for Singapore is Jenny Thacker.
Jenny visits Singapore several times a year to participate in the Education UK exhibition, to visit schools and to meet with potential students.
Student Numbers
There are currently 115 students from Singapore at the University of Edinburgh.
The most popular subjects are Medicine and Veterinary Medicine, Engineering, Biological Sciences, Business and Economics.
Alumni
It has been 50 years since the first student came from Singapore to study Medicine at the University of Edinburgh. There are now over 500 University of Edinburgh alumni residing in Singapore.
There were many Engineering graduates throughout the 1990’s. Education is also a popular career outcome with many alumni teaching at schools and universities in Singapore.
Many have established careers in Business in roles of varying seniority which is very much linked to the level of study attained and experience in the field.
