Kotogakko Sotsugyo Shomeisho

The Upper Secondary School Leaving Certificate or Kotogakko Sotsugyo Shomeisho is not sufficient for direct entry for undergraduate study at the University of Edinburgh.

Students will be required to complete either an appropriate Foundation year or the first year of a Japanese University degree.

Applicants who have taken the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or A-Levels will be able to apply for undergraduate study.

We are also happy to consider students offering US qualifications (SAT and AP).

Other qualifications

Applicants with qualifications other than those listed above will usually be required to complete a Foundation Year before entering the University.
