UK/EU Masters Scholarships

Over 150 Masters Scholarships are available for the 2016-2017 academic session at the University of Edinburgh.

Over 150 Scholarships are available to UK and EU students accepted on a full-time one year Masters degree programme in any subject offered by the University starting in 2016-2017.

Award

20 scholarships will have a value of £10,000, with the remaining awards each providing £4,500. These awards will be tenable for one academic year and will automatically be deducted from your tuition fee with any remaining funds being awarded towards living costs.

Eligibility

The scholarships will be awarded to UK or EU nationals who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for a postgraduate one year Masters degree programme of study at the University commencing in the 2016-2017 academic year.  Both taught Masters and Masters by Research programmes are eligible for this award.

Applicants accepted on a part-time or online distance learning programme are not eligible to apply.

Students who are already on programme are not eligible to apply.

Criteria

The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic excellence. Candidates must have, or expect to obtain, the international equivalent of a UK first class or 2:1 Honours degree at undergraduate level.

Applying

To apply for a scholarship you must first apply for admission for an eligible programme of study at the University of Edinburgh.

All applications must be submitted no later than 2nd May 2016.

Please note you will not be able to access the online application form unless you have applied for admission to the University of Edinburgh and have full EASE authentication.

Selection Procedure

A Selection Committee will meet in May 2016 to select the scholarship holders. All applicants will be notified by mid June 2016.
