The scholarship is intended for students who plan to undertake research in the field of silicon chip design. Research should not be weapons related but rather should be aimed at promoting, protecting and enhancing life.
The scholarship covers the Home/EU rate of tuition fee and is tenable for up to three years.
The scholarship is awarded to a PhD student intending to study in the School of Engineering at the University of Edinburgh in 2016-2017.
The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. Candidates must have, or expect to obtain the international equivalent of a UK first class or 2:1 Honours degree at undergraduate level.
This award is now closed. We are no longer accepting applications for the 2016-2017 academic session.
A Selection Committee will meet in April 2016 to select the scholarship holders. The winners of the scholarships will be announced in May 2016.
