Tutoring and demonstrating

Many postgraduate students are asked to take on teaching responsibilities in their schools.

Support and training is available both in your school and through the Institute for Academic Development (IAD).

The Institute also provides:

information and resources to help you develop and get feedback on your teaching;
a Teaching Log template you can use to record your teaching experience;
news updates.

Code of Practice

The University has a code of practice for tutoring and demonstrating, which will give you a clear understanding of:

what you have a right to expect from the University and from the School in which you carry out your teaching
what is expected of you to meet your contractual obligations
