The association is run by students, for students and helps you get the most out of your time at university.

EUSA looks after the Student Council and the University Unions.

See the EUSA website for more information.

Student Council

The Student Council was founded in 1884 to give the students a say about student services at the University.

The Council plays a vital role in University policy decisions. Among other things, it runs:

The Student Council has a major say in academic provision, student welfare, accommodation and national education policy.

It also provides a skills development programme as part of the University’s student development programme.

The Unions

The Edinburgh University Union was originally established by the Student Council in 1889.

It includes four Union buildings: Potterrow, Teviot, King's Buildings and Pleasance.

Within these buildings there are an array of bars, shops, cafes, entertainment venues and study spaces.

EUSA strives to provide the best services possible at affordable prices. Cheap food, drink and quality entertainment are a top priority.
