Before you start your studies, you must complete two formal stages, collectively known as ‘matriculation’.
You will not be formally admitted to the University until you complete both stages:
You need to register attendance at the University and arrange payment of tuition fees, if applicable.
Registry will send overseas student matriculation forms by email to your University of Edinburgh student email account.
However, if you are from a country in the European Union (EU), student matriculation forms will be posted to the contact address maintained in your EUCLID portal.
If you are coming to Edinburgh as part of a formal exchange programme - ERASMUS or the International Exchange, then you won't be eligible to pay fees.
All other students will be eligible to pay fees, but may have already paid fees to their home university, which will be transferred to Edinburgh.
If you are unsure about whether you need to pay fees on arrival to Edinburgh, then please check with your Study Abroad Adviser.
Some students have been advised to sit our free English language test TEAM (Test of English at Matriculation) on arrival in Edinburgh. Only students in the College of Humanities & Social Science will have received this request.
If we have advised you to sit TEAM it will be stated on your online offer, and you must complete the TEAM test before course enrolments can be finalised.
