American Football

The Edinburgh Predators are one of Scotland’s best university American Football teams, having achieved a winning record in each of its three previous seasons.


We welcome anyone ranging from complete novices up to the more experienced archer, offering training, support and the best student archery facilities available in the UK.


Edinburgh University Athletics Club caters for all abilities so whether you’ve never run before or you already train with a club back home we’re the club for you.


Welcome to EUBC! For those of you seeking competitive badminton, we have various teams of a very high standard that compete in BUCS and Scottish Universities.


At Edinburgh we run 1st and 2nd teams for men and women, as well as a Men’s 3rd team and intramural basketball, meaning there is definitely a team for you.


The Boat Club has for many been a significant stepping stone to high international honours - Edinburgh rowers frequently represent Scotland at the Home International Regatta and former members have gone on to record success at World Championship and Olympic regattas, the most recent in a long line being Katherine Grainger.


The Edinburgh University Amateur Boxing Club offers training from beginners to experienced boxers.


EUCC warmly welcomes people of all abilities. Mainly into recreational whitewater kayaking, the club also provides opportunity for other canoeing activities and competitions.


Through our hard work, we have made it a priority to uphold Edinburgh University’s longstanding tradition of excellence in sports by achieving consecutive National titles and multiple trophies in cheer and dance!

Clay Pigeon Shooting

The Edinburgh University Clay Pigeon Shooting Club is a sociable sporting club that welcomes students of all ability levels, from people who have never used a shotgun before to highly experienced shots.


EUCC offers both men’s and women’s cricket, indoor and outdoor.


Croquet is the newest sports club in Edinburgh University! The club is aimed at players of all abilities, from those who have never played before and fancy a casual knock-about, to those wanting to hoop their way to the top.


Curling is a truly Scottish sport, having originated in the Scottish Lowlands around 500 years ago, when it was played outside on frozen ponds.


Whether you ride on the road, off road or at the velodrome, we have you covered.


The Equestrian Club offers the chance to ride to everyone - even if you have never been near a horse.


Founded in 1930, Edinburgh University Fencing club is one of the universities most successful sports clubs and one of the best university fencing clubs in Britain.

Men's Football

Established in 1878, Edinburgh University AFC is the third-oldest senior club in the East of Scotland and has been a member of the Scottish Football Association since its establishment.

Women's Football

EUWAFC plays competitively in the University League and is the top university in Scotland for Women's Football, and ranked 6th in the UK. Over the years we have had great success and won both the BUCS 1A and 2A League in the 2015/16 season.

Gaelic Football

Gaelic Football is one of Ireland’s most popular sports, combining skills from basketball, soccer and rugby. We play in the Scottish league and championship as well as the British championship held in Birmingham. We have been 2010 British Champions and Scottish Champions in 2012.

Jiu Jitsu

Jitsu is a martial art based on the traditional styles of Jiu Jitsu that originated in medieval Japan.


The Judo club caters to all levels, from teaching beginners the basics to randori and national competitions for the more experienced.

Roller Hockey

Roller Hockey is an exciting and fast game with many similarities to Ice Hockey but on wheels. There is less contact but is just as fast and furious.

Ultimate Frisbee

Ro Sham Bo is one of the top University teams in Scotland. We compete in Men’s, Women’s and Mixed divisions.


EUVC became the fourth best performing sports club in the entire university in the 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 seasons.

Wakeboard and Water Ski

We go on regular trips to stunning Scottish locations such as Loch Lomond, Foxlake, and the Scottish National Centre in Dunfermline.
