Be Inspired by the Festival of Creative Learning

Sport & Exercise will be participating in the Festival of Creative Learning, which runs from 20-24 February.

The Festival is an opportunity to try new ways of learning through a series of events and activities at the University. We will be participating in this celebration with the following activities:

Monday 20 or Tuesday 21 February: Sensory Learning at the Climbing Wall (2-3pm) Challenge yourself to learn and teach skills in a variety of different ways, whilst enhancing your learning experience and refining your teaching approach - all whilst having fun in the process! All equipment provided. Please wear clothes you would feel comfortable climbing in.

Tuesday 21 February: Introduction to Pickleball (2-4pm, Pleasance Sports Hall)  Pickleball is a racquet sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis and table tennis. This session gives you a chance to try it out - so if you are looking for a new hobby, meet new people and have fun for a couple of hours then sign up.

Thursday 23 February: Rediscover Edinburgh – Orienteering for Health (11.30am-3pm) This orienteering tour will encourage you to see Edinburgh through a health lense, and you will begin to understand how our behaviour and choices are influenced by our environment. Why do we tend to use escalators instead of steps? Why do we buy junk food instead of nutritious food?
