Mairi Frame graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Glasgow University and worked initially in general practice. In 1992 she returned to the Veterinary School to train for the RCVS Certificate and Diploma in Diagnostic imaging.
Later, she also became a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging.
Mairi worked in the intervening years as a clinical radiologist and visiting lecturer at university hospitals in Switzerland, Austria, Sweden and the Republic of Ireland, where she was involved in all aspects of imaging large and small animals, before accepting the invitation in 2001 to develop a diagnostic imaging service at the Royal (Dick) Veterinary School.
Mairi’s clinical interests include imaging of exotic species, ultrasonography and three dimensional imaging, particularly computed tomography. She is currently pursuing a TLA postgraduate qualification in university teaching with a view to developing new methods for teaching diagnostic imaging.
