Our staff
Our orthopaedic service is one of the busiest, examining over 500 new cases of lameness every year, in addition to re-evaluating previous cases.
General facilities
We have a range of facilities available for our orthopaedic examinations and treatments.
Examining the lame horse
Lameness examinations aim to first localise the origin of pain, then obtain more information about its source, and finally to determine the best possible treatment.
Farriery
Alastair Duff, a Fellow of the Worshipful Company of Farriers, attends the Large Animal Hospital every week to shoe horses being treated by the veterinary surgeons.
