Class fundraising

A class gift is a special way of marking the anniversary of your class’ graduation.

A group of people stands in a circle

The Vet School has ambitious plans to raise £10 million by 2011 to build a new state-of-the-art teaching facility.

If everyone from your class makes a donation, then collectively you can make a substantial gift to what otherwise might seem like an unattainable goal.

Those who donate £2,000 or more will automatically become a Life Friend of the Dick Vet.

All donors receive individual acknowledgement for their gift, and each class gift will be acknowledged on a plaque in the new Vet School.

Planned gifts

Michael Gourley and his fellow 1977 graduates are already organising a class gift to support the School’s current fundraising priorities.

Our year has a lot to be grateful to the Dick Vet for, in sending us out into a profession that has provided so much more than just a living for us and our families. Whenever we’ve been asked where we graduated, we’ve always felt proud that we’re able to answer, ‘Edinburgh’ and that feeling has not diminished as the years have rolled, seemingly very quickly, by.

Gift aid

Please consider encouraging each of your classmates to make a personal donation to the Dick Vet, and to sign a Gift Aid Declaration.

Gift Aid enables us to top up the value of donations by nearly a third at no extra cost to the donor, simply by reclaiming tax already paid to the Inland Revenue in the UK.
