A number of University car parks are located in the King's Buildings. The Transport and Parking Office of the University of Edinburgh manages parking at the University. University car parks are for the use of permit holders only, and are subject to the University’s Parking Regulations.
All staff and students are welcome to apply for a permit.
Permits are available for visitors to the University.
Tripshare is the University's car sharing scheme.
The University of Edinburgh operates a private scheme within TripshareEdinburgh so that staff and students can search for potential matches within the University community to share their car, walking or cycling trip.
As of July 2011, the University of Edinburgh’s Tripshare Group had 900 members who you could potentially share your journey with!
The University provides a pool car at Little France for staff and students travelling for business purposes.
The car is currently a Ford Fiesta (Petrol) and is University blue with the University crest on both sides.
You have to be an authorised driver with the University before using the pool car.
The pool car may be booked for a maximum of one day.
