Travelling to Edinburgh Airport by bus

Edinburgh airport is approximately 8 miles west of the city centre. There are a number of buses which travel between the airport and the University.

Airlink is the quickest way to travel between the airport and the city centre. The University's Central Area is just a short walk from its terminus in the city centre, and other sites are well connected from there by bus.

Lothian Buses Service 35 - Edinburgh airport to Ocean Terminal (Leith) via the city centre

Service 35 offers a direct link from the airport through the heart of the University's Central Area. Note that this services takes 30 minutes longer to travel between the city centre and the airport, and it may actually be faster to travel by Airlink.
